CS-EP Bad Ideas Night!

Social Kickoff Event

(FREE KABOB N CURRY)

Monday November 7th,  7-8pm (CIT Atrium)

Think you have a startup idea for the next big thing? Then come to the CS-EP Social Kickoff to find out how you can get involved with the Brown entrepreneurial community.

While you’re at it, cross paths with some new people you might potentially want on your team (potential co-founder?), and engage with Brown alums Charlie Kroll (CEO of Andera; Venture for America Board Member) and Andres Douglas ’09 (CEO of Bakodo) as they speak of their experiences about starting a business. CS Professor Shriram Krishnamurthi will also provide his wisdom and inspiration in the start-up community.

Afterwards, take the challenge: what’s the worst startup idea you can think of? We’re talking ideas you wouldn’t consider prototyping in a million years. Bring a friend, come enjoy free tasty Kabob n Curry and hear people pitch their horrendous ideas.

About Brown University Entrepreneurship Program

The Brown University Entrepreneurship Program (EP) was founded in January 1998 by David Cohen and Evan Geller. These Brunonians wanted to provide students with an enriching entrepreneurial education and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit already alive at Brown, by harnessing the expertise of our alumni and faculty communities. EP is a student-run organization that acts as the extra-curricular side to entrepreneurial learning. EP provides students with lectures and panels from some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country, access to our database of 900 entrepreneurs, one-on-one mentors, software for creating business plans, and Elevator Pitch and Business Plan Competitions for students interested in making their idea become reality.
