Our biggest event of the year, the EP Forum gives students the opportunity to hear and learn from world class entrepreneurs; connect with each other, professors, alumni, and other professionals; and share ideas in an open and exciting atmosphere.

Former keynote lecturers at the EP Forum have included CNN Founder, Ted Turner; Former Pepsi and Apple CEO, John Sculley; JetBlue Founder, David Neeleman; BET CEO, Debra Lee; and Fashion Designer, Kenneth Cole.

The Forum is an afternoon dedicated to celebrating entrepreneurship for students, alumni, and successful entrepreneurs. This year's forum is dedicated to Professor Barrett Hazeltine in honor of his 50th year at Brown. Barrett Hazeltine has played an integral role in fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship on Brown's campus.

Program:

  • 1:00 PM: Opening remarks from President Ruth Simmons
  • 1:15 PM: Keynote #1: Ira C. Magaziner, President and Vice Chairman, Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and Chairman, Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI), The William J. Clinton Foundation
  • 2:15 PM: Experts In Their Industry Panel; the panel will discuss how you can be entrepreneurial in any industry Featuring: Meredith Barnett, Editorial Director, ebay's The Inside Source Steve Glenn, CEO, Living Homes Richard Heller, Partner, Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz Lauren Merkin, Fashion Designer
  • 3:15 PM: Keynote #2: "Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship," Randy Haykin, Managing Director, Outlook Ventures

The event will conclude at 4:00 PM with a Networking Reception and Mentor Mixer.
