Concentration: History

Hometown: Old Westbury, NY

Lexi is a senior concentrating in History with a focus on Modern European History. Lexi has been a member of EP since her freshman year, and served as the VP of Outreach as a sophomore and junior. During the fall semester of her junior year, Lexi studied abroad in Rome at Temple University. At Brown, Lexi volunteers as a mentor with the Brown Arts Mentoring Program and leads information sessions for prospective students. For the past two summers Lexi interned at Time Inc. within their Consumer Marketing group, working on audience development for People, People Stylewatch, and the Real Simple digital brands. Prior to those summers, Lexi interned at Sony Music Entertainment within their Digital Marketing group. Lexi has had her own entrepreneurial experience founding and directing a music mentoring program while in high school on Long Island, that continues to thrive today.

Sarah is a senior concentrating in Economics. She has been a member of EP since her sophomore year. In her fall semester of her junior year, Sarah took a semester off and completed two internships: one in Zurich working within Asset Management, and another in London exploring Corporate Social Responsibility. At Brown, Sarah is the Vice President of China Care Brown and is also a Research Assistant at the Education Department working on a project studying children's learning beliefs.

Ingrid Pangandoyon '10

Concentration: Political Science - Theory

Hometown: Union, NJ

Ingrid is a senior concentrating in Political Science - Theory. She has been a member of EP since her sophomore year. The summer after her junior year, Ingrid studied abroad at the Sciences-Po in Paris in the program "National Identity in a Globalized World," which focused on EU politics and French culture studies. At Brown, Ingrid is also involved in the Ivy Film Festival as publicity coordinator and webmaster and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity. Her own entrepreneurial experience generally focuses on web development and graphic design as she is working on her own web start-up company. After Brown, Ingrid plans to attend law school and pursue a legal career in the field of intellectual property.


Michael Perchonok '12
Vice President, Mentorship

Concentration: Applied Mathematics-Economics

Hometown: Dover, NH

Michael is a sophomore concentrating in Applied Math-Economics: Mathematical Finance track. This is Michael's second year with EP and first year on the executive board. In addition to EP, he is also the VP of external affairs for Brown Model UN and an active member in the Brown Investment Group and his fraternity, Phi Kappa Psi. Michael is also one of 10 elected student representatives to the Undergraduate Finance Board, the student group that appropriates all activities funding. He is interested in pursuing a career in finance, consulting, or another business related field. Although he has never conducted his own entrepreneurial venture, Michael wants to make it possible for others to execute their dreams. One day, he may want to start his own business and hopes that a support network similar to the Entrepreneurship Program will be available to him. This summer, Michael hopes to intern for a hedge fund, investment bank or consulting company.


Samantha Favis '10
Vice President, Outreach


Concentration: Commerce, Organization, and Entrepreneurship

Hometown: Orlando, Florida

Samantha is a senior who is concentrating in Commerce, Organizations, and Entrepreneurship: Business Economics. During her sophomore year, Samantha co-founded the non-profit organization, Providence Business Teens, for urban high school students in the Downtown Providence area. PBT teams up with the John Hope Settlement House to supplement business and entrepreneurship education for students, providing motivation, mentorship, and a chance for mobility. During the academic year, Samantha is a teaching assistant for Professor Barrett Hazeltine’s ENGN0090 course in the fall and Professor Karen Haberstroh’s ENGN0020 course in the spring. In addition to that, she holds a student employee position in the Alumni Relations department of Brown University year round and serves as a career week ambassador for the Career Development Center. During the summer of 2008, Samantha worked under the senior vice president and partner of one of the largest investment banks off Wall Street. She has also interned with a New York City based event driven hedge fund during the summer of 2007.


Brian Alexander '11

Hometown: Boston, MA

Brian is a Junior concentrating in Economics. He has been part of Brown EP since his Sophomore year and became VP of Fund Raising this past Fall. Over the summer, Brian had the chance to study abroad in Rome and Sorrento through the Brown In Rome program. After returning from his trip, he spent the remainder of the summer at Tuck Business School attending their Business Bridge program, a month-long mini-MBA program designed to give liberal arts students a crash course in business literacy. At Brown, he has volunteered for CityBrothers which runs an after-school program for boys from Providence middle schools. Recently, Brian has help launch BenzAndABackpack.com, a Hip-Hop blog and group at Brown.
